This cottage is tucked into the edge of Mount Brandon, which is Ireland’s second highest peak, and it also overlooks the stunning Conor Pass. It’s a rustic retreat with the perfect mix of countryside on the edge of a friendly village. And, if you listen closely, you’ll hear the local Wagtail birds lead a chorus of song every morning as you open your curtains.
The house sits a short walk from the community shop, bakery, church and O’Connor’s Bar and Restaurant. It’s also just a short drive away from the village of Castlegregory where you can learn how to surf, ride a horse across Brandon Bay or take a boat trip to Sauce Creek, an ancient spectacular creek bordered by sheer cliffs on all sides. Just a short 10 minute drive over the Conor Pass, which is a stunning drive nestled into the side of the mountain, lies Dingle town. There, you can visit the Kerry penguin colony at Dingle Ocean World, grab some tapas at Solas or take a boat trip out to the Blasket Islands, home to a unique colony of west Kerry seals.
