West Kerry poet and author, Mícheál Ó Ruairc, his latest book, Caisleán Ghriaire. The novella charts the years of turmoil in Ireland between 1563 and 1580, and in particular focuses on Castlegregory and the rise and fall of Gregory Hoare and the demise of his personal empire. According to the author, it is primarily the story of a tragic and doomed love affair that has as much to do with culture and language as affairs of the heart.
